Week 37: 091111–Remembering . . .

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana.

Here we are again, at the end of the week and recalling the events of that fateful day in September . . . lets all send our Mana out the survivors and the families of the victims of that day. Here’s to hoping that something that horrendous never happens again . . .

I hope you’re all doing well and I want to express a fond Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you that helped make my 55th La  Hanau a very Hauoli one. Mahalo Palapala for the great song and beautiful Harmonica work! Mahalo Bu for your Mele as well, we are the Stent Brothers indeed. Btw, don’t we have more Virgos Birthdays to celebrate? Aki? Anyone?

Anyway, a reminder to all of you that the Wine Country Ukulele Festival is happening this weekend. You can find out more at http://winecountryukefest.com/ , some of our friends will be performing there. Kathy Quain will be performing Saturday and Sunday (with the UFOhana). The PetalUkes on Saturday, Faith Ako, James Hill and more . . .

Speaking of ‘more’ here are more images from last Friday . . .

Just how many candles can you fit on a cake? Mahalo Kukana and Aunty Val for the Ono-licious cakes!

Uke-Ku

A blink of an eye,
A dozen months have flown by,
Another year gone . . .

Just where did all that time go? So many Ukes, so many Mele, so little time . . . remember,

“Where ever there’s Ukes . . . there you strum . . . “ or something like that!

Ok, hope to see you folks this Friday!

Malama Pono All!
