Week 25: 060611 – Ukali ka Alaka’i a me Mele 'Aina ahiahi Hana Hou!
BOT:
Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana! Isn’t that Sun wonderful?

Ok . . . maybe not exactly a Marin landscape, but the feeling’s almost the same . . . . well, almost . . . .
I hope this week finds you all doing well and staying healthy. Still got a bit of the cold/flu/whatevas hanging on but I’m getting better every ‘Sleepy Time’, as Lucas use to put it.
As you may have guessed we’re going to Hana Hou last week’s music theme with Dinner Music. Seems to be working for most of you and we seem to get more play time together as a Squadron.
Thanks again to all of you that contribute your time, money, food and, most of all, your Aloha to the Kanikapila every week! It’s evident from our performance at the Fairfax Fair that we are strumming as the UFO 51st Air Force . . . or at least as a group. Mahalo Nui Loa to all of you that participated at the event and helped make it so much fun! I hear we got some pretty positive feedback from the audience and that we may make a second appearance next year? Btw, if any of you have photos from the Fairfax event, please do pass it on for me to post here. Mahalo.
And speaking of ‘Second Appearances’ don’t forget that Sandy and Lopaka are performing at the Panama Hotel tomorrow night at 7PM. Hope to see you there . . . sounds like a great time for all . . .
Speaking of Great Times . . . more from Donna . . . Mahalo Donna!
Below: Yes that is Anna below that joined us for Kanikapila and hula!
Below: from my trip to visit Mom. Hawaii Music Supply, definitely a store to visit while on Oahu.
Below: The Wall Of Uke at HMS . . . good stuffs!
Below: How can you tell you’re at a Hawaiian McDonald’s? Guess . . . I wonder if that one or two finger pie?
Ok, my Day-Quil’s about to wear off, need to re-dose . . .
Btw, Flight Manual Volume 3 is just 5 songs away from being done! I was a little side tracked by this flu. It will included songs from Keoki’s Camp as well! Stay Tuned!
Uke-Ku
Seeds of Life adrift,
Carried by Oceans and Winds,
Distant shores await . . .
Malama Pono everyone!
Spok-U-Bom-Bye!

AloooooooHA!
Hey, kids, howzit? I no stay your side after going down sick a couple times last few weeks so I could not fly. But I now know I will be there for sure in August/September -- 2012! The Son of Mine, Joseph, has set the date with his beloved to be married, yes, in the Zoo in Tacoma where they worked and met...She is zookeeper at Phoenix Zoo where, lo and behold!, one Son has landed the Full Time Permanent Keeper gig -- so he gets benefits, and should sue for past benefits because they kept him at 1 minute less than full time to not give the benefits to a class of employee called "Permanent Part Time." Hey, so I'm mad about that, but that's pappa's role, no? Off to Hilo Town where I will get one small size loco for you, extra spam.
