Week 22: 052311–Na Mele O Kou Mo’olelo
BOT:
Aloha All. Well we’re on our way to another 3 day weekend. Hope you’ve all be having a good week thus far. I know it’s been a tough month for some of us and then there was the Rapture? I guess we all got a stay until October 21 then now? To bad we can’t party like “It’s 19-9-9” huh? Oh well, thankfully there’s Kanikapila Night and before I get into this week’s theme and stuff. . .
We have to look forward to and also the following!
Btw, Keoki and James might be making appearance at our Kanikapila after the concert, so you may want to hang out for a bit after da’kine. Maybe we should brew some coffee? And on . . .
Saturday June 4th!
Keoki and James Hill will be holding classes here at Hangar 1585!
Please register buy June1 as space is limited. Cost is $25 each or $40 for both. We are trying to get a headcount by June 1st for all workshops. For questions Susie Kagami email at Aloha@HawaiiMusicLive.com
Mahalo Nui Loa Susie for putting this together for the Ukulele Pilots of Marin!
Pretty cool huh? Yet another action packed weekend coming up . . . Back to our Theme of the Week: “Songs of Your History (i.e. Heritage)”, you know like who you ancestors are, where you came from, or what species of human kind you hail from? Something la ‘dat?
Mahalo Nui to those of you that continue to support Kanakapila by sharing your food, your Mele, you Kala ($$$) and your Aloha with all of us. Thanks to all that you do we can continue on with these nights of Aloha and joy.
As you see from the Photos there is a lot of Aloha going around. Wait . . . is that Pua on a Uke????????? Even Max had to check her out!
Above Middle: Our current house guest, Bamboo, the Aloha Manu! Good friend of Max . . .
Below: Hula “Makalapua” Style . . .
Mahalo to Donna, once again for the great photos, to our Hula Wahine and all of you . . .
Please be sure to spread the news about Keoki and James!

Thank you to all who helped make these workshops possible, particularly the Medina Family for allowing us to use your home. Great opportunity for players of all levels to learn, grow, and have fun all the same time! This is going to be AMAZING!
