Week 18 – Happy Mother’s Day!

BOT:

Aloha Kakahiaka UFOhana!

It’s that time of the year again so let’s all give thanks and give our Alohas to the Mothers of our UFOhana. I’m sure you know who you are.

I also want to send big Mahalo to all of you that made my Homecoming so much fun. The Aloha from our Ohana is definitely a healing one. It’s really nice to come back to a ‘warm’ home.

Please do continue to send your Aloha and good mana out to Bolos (Brudda Steve Becker) who is still undergoing some intensive therapy. Malama Pono Bolos! Hope to see you soon.

Ok, so that Heart Healthy food theme was pretty good after all so I think we’ll do a “HHHH!” theme this week (i.e. Heart Health Hana Hou!).

We have some cool events coming up this month and beyond:

1. This Saturday Joe Tate will be sponsoring an Open Mic Sessions with the UFOhana at the NoName bar in Sausalito. Starts at 6p and ends at 8p.

2. Below is a Blast from Brudda Tenn(yson Lum):

Wait!!!!! Was that Carey Camacho in the Line Up?????? Now this I gotta see/hear/support! Remember, May 17th now.

3. Herb Hana Hou!

Da Brudda Returns for more abuse from us!

June 14th 11a – 6p, he is returning for more lessons and more privates. He’s wanting to keep this one open to us as far as the curriculum for the group classes. So please to send me your thoughts on what you’d like to learn from Herb.  Susie will be setting a sign up sheet once we get these from the you.

Please do spread the word out to your own Ohana about this event.

Ok, I think that’s all we have for now . . . let me know if I missed anything.

Oh! Check out the photos below:

Who is this Beautiful Hula Dancer and what event was that?

Oh, here’s what they found when they X-Rayed my heart:

That explains the blockage! Good thing it was a Saprono and not a Baritone!

Dat wahine is Lynn Roth and it was for the opening of the ukulele exhibit for Stevie B's great uke fest in September of '08. Remember the purse snatcher when Bolo was giving his speech? Only in San Francisco!

Bringing some HH potstickers that only a mother could love. We'll also be bringing a couple of suprise guests!

Eh brah, I hope you kept the uke they pulled out of you. One collector's item.
