And now for something totally different . . .
. . what is this man sucking on? Anyway . . .
here are a few thousand words, to help tell the story last Friday with Brittni:
Notice Britnni on our new stage. Cool stap huh?
Above: (Left) Palapala, Brittni, her Mom Leann and Husband Brendan.
Below Mahalo to Leann and Britnni for allowing Bolos to share their Shabbat night with us.
Mahalo Nui Palapala for help with the photos this night . . .
Btw, here are photos from the 20th, aka Attack of the Sippie Cup Pilots!
Mahalo Nui Patty for the great suggestion! We sure could of used them last week!
Heyyyyy, what’s that funny Bolo drawing doing?
Ok . . . the Fud Theme . . . I’m thinking “Hawaiian Style” to help make Herb and crew feel at ‘home’.

So I've heard that there are some folks that may feel a bit shy about taking a class from Herb cuz he is so serious....ha, ha, ha...well let me tell you...He is the biggest (or shortest) goof-ball I've ever met!
You'll see on Friday.
Honestly, the reason I travel with him is to get my fill of laughs and love of music. Not cuz he plays that dang uke so good and his techniques are super clean. Thats just an added bonus. Really! Good and bad, he is like traveling with a 9 year old sometimes when it comes to childhood antics and Portagee jokes. In many ways, he is just like his faddah!
My proof? Check out the photos on his website. www.HerbOhtaJr.com. There are some real good ones in there.
I have been told by many that he is one of the best and clearest instructors there is for the uke. I've seen so many folks who have that light bulb moment and say...oh, I get it!
I hope we see you on Friday and you'll realize that you were all so wrong about him! He is nothing but a huge goof!

I'll be visiting Mom in Olympia WA this week. Be back next with a new (to me) 1930 Martin Soprano. Birth Day 4/5/43 present to myself. Would like to and need the Lessons and will miss the Mele.
Keep on stumming Kawika AKA Dave in Petaluma

I think some flan de leche, maybe with coconut, ought to make Herb feel welcome. (And if it doesn't, I'll eat it!) See you all tomorrow.
