Week 2 – 2009

BOT:

Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana.

Here we are in the second week of 2009. Staring down that long stretch of a year. At the near event horizon the promise of a new beginning with the pending inauguration of Obama. I understand that we may have an away team making a pilgrimage to our Country’s Capitol. Safe journey to them all.

Mahalo Nui Loa to the Camacho’s for allowing the UFOhana to share in the celebration of Carey’s birthday and for allowing Palapala’s (Barbara) , KimoB’s (Jim Birrell), and Linaka’s (Linda Wallace) to share their birthdays as well.

Mahalo Aunty for that wonderful Hula! I know Max appreciated it as well!

Here are a few more memories form that night and the cake that KimoB missed!

Ok as for this week’s food theme . . . Inaugural Foods? I guess that could include Presidential Spam dishes? What about Air Force 1 Airline Foods? Ok, I think you get the idea!

Please take care, don't want it turning in the Walking Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Da'Kine!

I'm bringing food to server whenever there's going to be an inauguratation of a ex-Manoa Valley boy during a severe recession - mini grilled spam sandwiches. I'm bringing beef salame for those who don't get nostalgic for thin thin grilled slices of the meat that won world war II.
