Another Month Almost Gone!
BOT:
Aloha Kakahiaka UFOhana!
Well another busy week, so I thought I'd better get this out while I can.
Mahalo Nui Loa to all that helped celebrate Kini's big 6-Oh oh, I think she was really happy to be with us all. It was good to see the Ohana come together for that event.
Speaking of EVENTS, mahalo plenty to the pilots that made Saturday Night's Silent Auction such a success. I hear that the school raised quite a bit of money, double from last year! I also heard from Scott, the DJ, that there were 'LOTS' of compliments regarding the 'Del & Friends' Band.
Then there was the Ukulele Festival the following day, are we Uke Junkies or what? Mahalo to all that showed up to help celebrate that day. What a nice touch to have the teenagers join us for a few songs and actually request one! Mahalo Uncle Ken, for encouraging the boys to come join us and teaching them a few things about Hawaiian Style playing. I caught the same group of boys being Wowed by the Dominator doing his some of his Jake Licks. I guess it's true about the children being our future...
Queen Sylvie, Mahalo for honoring me with your song . . .
Ok, so for this week's food theme, "April Showers . . ." done and that's all I have to say about that . . .
Uke-Ku

Children's Eager Eyes,
Focused on dancing fingers,
Grasping their new Ukes.
Ok, see you guys bom-bye! Be sure to send Rick your Alohas as he's in training in Chicago(?) for 3 weeks!

I'll be there with some spicey meatballs and a Nakanishi Soprano that I have decided to sell, will let go at cost to the Ohana. Tom's double purchase inspired me. Release and catch time.

Aloha Del et al,
Hope all is well. Though I will not be joining the group (surprise) I wanted to share this web site from nasa. It was forwarded to me and in poking around was amazed by some of the pics http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap080412.html.
Have a WONDERFUL Friday night all.
