Nicasio Away Team - Epilogue
BOT:
Alooooooha UFOhana Pilots!
Well, I guess it's safe to say that it's been another Fantastic Week of Kanikapila. I think it's safe to say that every member of the Nicasio Away Team deserves a big Job Well Done!
In all honesty, unbiased of course, from where I was standing I think we sounded GREAT!
But that's just one lonely -=SqL=- 's opinion. I'm forever grateful to be part of such a great Ohana. Onward to Sept 8., Yerba Buena Away Mission.
As for this week's food them I'm thinking "Gold Medal Foods", i.e. bring out your best, or the Colonel's best?
This is in honor of one of Hawaii's Finest:
1890 Duke Kahanamoku Hawaii, 100m swimmer (Olympic-gold-1912, 20)
K'den so there you have it.

Grassy Green Ocean,
An Endless wave of people,
The Audience Waits...
He got word from the CO that mission time has been reduced to 15 minutes. Not happy, but he figured that's more than enough to complete the mission.
He notified the Pilots. Some didn't take it well but he knew the rest would cover and pull through. His Pa'ani Wingmen on his port and the Travelin' Babe Squadron, The Voices, on his starboard. The rest of the crew covered the Squadron's six o'clock. Ready for take off!
He gave the order, "OK Everyone! Strum and Load! Here we go, Island Syle!" He nodded to Kukana, she nodded back . In his mind he heard . . .
"The First Strum is the most important, you need to hear it in your Mind First!" - JS
He set the pace with an intro. Rick dove in with his Pa'ani, Steve-O in close formation, both coming in loud and clear though the monitors. The Six O'clock Pilots kept the melodies on track. Their strum and voices like a wave of sound. The Travelin' Babe Squadron's leads and harmonies clear, sweet and strong. Uncle Barry's bass guided the Pilots like a homing beacon.
"Alright, We're Flying Now!!!" He thought.
The Squadron held a tight formation during the rest of the mission. Never faltering. They rocked them with a final Blues Piece and Rick's hot harmonica.
At mission end, they were rewarded with the loud applause from the landing crew. One by one they landed their crafts onto the cool green grass. Greeted by smiles from Family and Friends.
There were no casualties, everyone came home.
Mission accomplished.
Aloha A Hui Hou,

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I can't come play with my uke buddies tonight! My wife fell down-go-boom and got an infected knee -- she's been in the hospital the last three days, and comes home tonite. Something tells me I might get in a big pile of doody if I told her "Bye, honey, take care of that knee, gotta go kanikapila!" So see you all next week -- practice up for September 8th!!
