Thursday evening, 5 p.m., be there at the Museum with your uke -- Del will be leading the UFOs in this Very Special Away Mission, with some hula too. Yes, the Aloha Festival is on Saturday too -- but it is also Sunday, so you can do both!

Aloha All, Just wanted to post this message from Mister B:
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Mahalo nui loa, everyone!

My thanks to all of you who loaned your instruments to the Museum of Craft & Folk Art -- the opening tonight was very special, and lots of fun. My very special thanks to Kate Eilertsen, the director of the Museum, and her staff and design and installation crew for making it all look so great and for hosting this historic exhibit. My thanks too to the UFOs of Marin for such great music and dance, and to Lynn Roth for her opening chant and hula.

For those of you who were able to join us tonight, thanks for coming by -- the UFOs had a great time playing our ukes, and the hula was mighty fine too.

We received the first bits of publicity today, including a nice piece in the "Hawaii Calls" column in the SF Chronicle, as well as a "Best Exhibit" of the week mention in the SF Examiner, and other listings. We'll be looking to drum up more publicity now that the exhibit is open, but the best is always word of mouth -- so don't be shy, no matter where you are -- email your friends with this link:  www.mocfa.org !

The web site has been updated to include a page on all the uke makers -- it needs some edits, but all the links to your web sites seem to be working fine. Do let me know if you spot anything that needs correction.

So once again, mahalo nui loa to Andy, Damian, Jack, Jeff, Ray, Duane, Dale & Phyllis, Jim, Joel, David, Mike, Peter, Rick, Owen, Shinji, Tony, Al, Dick, Fred Jr. & Chris & Casey -- did I forget anyone? -- and Del and Bu and the rest of the UFO crew!  (Al D. -- please pass these thanks along to Jeff and Jack -- no email for Jack, and I don't have Jeff's handy around here...where did his email address go?...)

Do send people to see the exhibition, and for those of you near San Francisco of coming this way, go look at those gorgeous ukes more than once, twice, even three times!

      Stephen B.

ps: we'll get some photos of the exhibit together to send around to everyone!

The ferry is cool with me. I was going to take the Vallejo ferry, but Larkspur would work also. What time?
