Aloha Ahi Ahi UFOhana Pilots!

Whooooweee! What a busy weekend this was yah?

Mahalo Joe for involving us in such a great cause!

I want to say to all of you that participated in the Bay Model Benefit this past Saturday how proud I was of you all. In spite of all the technical difficulties we had, having our performance times changed twice, the small stage, you all continued on in UFOhana Squadron Formation and strummed along regardless. From what I could hear there was nothing wrong with your performances. It was the sound system that fought us, the feed back was not coming from our amps (I had switched them off and the feed back continued), along with the fact that they didn't give us a sound check. We can only do what we can.

Mahalo Nui Loa to Tamra and Susan for their beautiful Hulas and for honoring us with their dances. I really wish we had more time to do more, but I'm grateful for what we were given. Your Hula skills make our UFOhana gigs complete.

Kalamai for not joining you folks in the 'After Party' at Amy and Bu's Hale. I was battling a case of 'Onion Stomach' that started coming on during Waimanalo Blues. Thankfully Rick help me pack up the gear to I made it home in time!

I want to say Mahalo to you all, also, for a great 07 celebration! Such a treat to have you all sharing in our 7th year of Ukulele night. It's amazing how the UFOhana has grown musically, in spirit and playing skills. We are so blessed to have such a dedicated group of friends to share our passion for the Ukulele with. Plus that Blue Drink wasn't too bad either!

As for this week's food theme I'm thinking "Heavenly Food", in honor of: 0239 -BC- March 30th, 1st recorded perihelion passage of Halley's Comet. I don't know how they figure this out but it sure is interesting. Halley and his Comets?

Strings vibrate in time,
Many Hearts beating as one,
Ohana takes flight.

Have a great week all!

Aloha A Hui Hou!
